Subject: [SUPPORT] Telco Troubles Widomaker Modem Pools
Date: Sun, 15 Sep 2002 22:28:12 -0400

Since Friday, September 13th, users attempting to dial into Widomaker have
randomly been getting busy signals when trying to connect to the Internet.

We have been working with the telephone company around the clock to resolve
this issue. So far, we have been able to correct the problem for users
dialing into the 369-9436 modem pool, however, uses dialing into the 345-9436
and 321-9436 modem pools are still experiencing busy signals.

At this time we are not sure if the issue is Cox Fibernet's, Verizon's, or, if
we have some equipment failure we have been unable to identify so far. We
believe our equipment is operating just fine. On Monday morning we will be
restructuring the way our modem pools pass calls from trunk to trunk in an
effort to correct this issue.

If you can dial Newport News as a toll free call, and you are currently
experiencing busy signals, you can change your settings to dial the 369-9436
number to avoid any connection troubles. Please make sure you can dial
Newport News as a free call before making this change. If you have any
questions or need assistance, please do not hesitate to call our support line
at 253-7621. Please be advised that if you are currently dialing into the 345-
9436 modem pool it is most likely because Newport News is a toll call for you
and changing to dial 369-9436 will result in an additional charge on your
phone bill.

As soon as I have more information in this matter I will pass it along.
Please accept my apologies for this inconvenience.
