10-30-2005 - WidoSAT/ISAT Outage

WidoSAT/ISAT users,

Beginning late Thursday afternoon (Thu, Oct 27, 2005), WidoSAT/ISAT users were unable to reach Internet sites when connected via the satellite Internet connection. As of today (Sun, Oct 30, 2005), the outage has not been resolved.

After contacting our satellite service provider we were advised that they were "experiencing an outage in their network infrastructure." They have not provided any time estimate for clearing the outage or provided additional details. We are continuing efforts to get additional information and we expect them to restore service as soon as possible. We will update this message and our call center voice mail message with any new information.

As always, users can connect using standard 56K dialup until satellite service is restored. Contact our office if you need help connecting using standard dialup service.

We appoligize for this inconvenience caused by our satellite service provider's outage. We thank you for your patience while this issue is resolved.

Regards,

Widomaker Helpdesk Staff
