How to change your Widomaker password.

To change your system password you must connect to our system with a TELNET client or through the dialup UNIX shell.


Choose a good password!

Instructions for connecting via "Telnet."
    Use Windows 95/98/NT4.0's included telnet application
    (c:\windows\telnet.exe)
(or, if that doesn't work...)
  1. Click the 'Start' Button
  2. Click on 'Run'
  3. Type 'telnet wilma.widomaker.com'
  4. Click on 'OK'
  5. At the login: prompt enter your username, then press <ENTER>.
  6. At the Password: prompt enter your password, then press <ENTER>. 

  7. (NOTE: Both username & password are case-sensitive.)
You are now logged in!  You should see a Main Menu.
If not, try entering the command, "menu".

Changing your password...
After logging in, you should be at the "Main Menu"...
  1. Select the "Account Management Menu" (Type "6", then <ENTER>).
  2. Select "Change your Password" from the menu (Type "1", then <ENTER>).
(Follow the onscreen instructions...)
  1. When prompted, enter your old password, then press <ENTER>.
  2. When prompted, enter your new password, then press <ENTER>.
  3. When prompted, enter your new password again, then press <ENTER>.
  4. If the process was successful you will see:
    • passwd: updating the database...
    • passwd: done
  5. Press <ENTER>, to return to the menu system.
  6. Type "bye", then press <ENTER>, to exit the menu system.
  7. Type "exit", then press <ENTER>, to log out and disconnect the telnet connection.
  8. Close the telnet window.

Notes:
  • Windows 3.1x and Mac users must download, install, and configure a Telnet client.  Connect to "wilma.widomaker.com" via telnet, then follow the "After logging in" instructions found above.
  • If you have an "e-mail only" (POP3) account you will need to call Tech Support to have your password changed.
