One of the people Emma and Peter Jay call over after Quinton's arrest.

Dragons
Unseen for countless ages (8). Smaller dragons, such as Cespinarve Rogue are only about as big as a small mountain range, and not quite as old as the hills (13). Keepers of a serious task -- consuming the edges of reality. (13). There are two families of dragons. The original dragons (of which Cespinarve Rogue is one), and the other dragons, created by the combination between the magic inherent in the original dragons and people's beliefs and ideas about dragons. They tend to establish pecking orders, like chickens. (19)

Dream garden
Something like a dream, but having its own separate reality (11). Cespinarve Rogue's dream garden seems to be a holding well for souls, including those of several kings. His garden is also a place of relative innocence (24).

Dreaming tree
The Shadow Lady was trapped under one by Quinton (11), now Quinton is trapped under one, courtesy of the Shadow Lady (11) Possibly the same tree that Heath fell asleep under. (16). Planted by Quinton. (16). Supposed to bear dream fruit every seven years exactly.

One of Rubel's childhood friends (1), he moved to Coscove Gates (1) When he was a member of the Monster Slayers he had a short sword that Quinton had given him that could cut through muscle and bone as well as any metal. (21)
