Thieves & Kings #15

Finally got a hold of this issue, and was glad I found it. This one concentrates almost totally on young Heath, who we learn is actually a reincarnated sorceress-- and Soracia's sister, no less. M'Oak opts for six pages of illustrated text before combining words and pictures this time, and it's some of the best writing he's done yet; I especially love the line that begins "Far in the back of her mind, where she kept those unquenchable little coals of belief which make people what they are..." Just lovely. Lots of fun humor in the shadow-catching scene, and more than a few hints of Heath's and everyone else's life being a part of a much broader and richer tapestry. M'Oak's attention to detail and characterization is still outstanding. Quite recommended.
